The Galway Continental Christmas Market returns to Eyre Square for its 16th year. It is expected to run from mid-November 2026 to 31st December 2026, closed on Christmas Day. Exact 2026 dates and daily hours will be available at Christmas Market Galway.

Over 50 wooden chalets fill Eyre Square with handmade crafts, artisan gifts and seasonal food. Highlights usually include the 32-metre Ferris wheel, a traditional carousel, Santa’s Express Train and Santa’s Grotto, plus the German-style beer keller for mulled wine and hot cider. Food runs from bratwurst and pretzels to crepes, waffles and roasted chestnuts.  In date-December Family Fun Days add extra entertainment for children. Admission to the market is free.
