Q: Where is The House Hotel located in Galway?
A: We’re right in the heart of Galway city centre, in the Latin Quarter on Spanish Parade. You’re within easy walking distance of Eyre Square, Shop Street, Galway Cathedral, the Spanish Arch and the River Corrib, making it easy to explore the city on foot.
Q: What rooms are available for larger families?
A: Our Apartment Family Suite has three bedrooms in one suite, sleeping up to six. It’s ideal for larger families, multi-generational stays, or two families travelling together.
Q: Is breakfast included?
A: Yes. Guests can choose between a convenient grab-and-go breakfast or a sit-down breakfast, depending on their plans for the day.
The sit-down option includes a choice of juice, fruit, pastries, hot breakfast baps, tea and coffee. Please note that House offers breakfast only, with no lunch or dinner service.

A: Plenty. From the hotel you can walk to Eyre Square, the Spanish Arch, Galway City Museum and the Latin Quarter, where street performers entertain crowds throughout the day. Galway Atlantaquaria in Salthill is a short walk or bus ride away, and we’re also a great base for day trips along the Wild Atlantic Way to the Cliffs of Moher, Connemara and the Burren.
Q:Is the hotel suitable for teenagers?
A: Absolutely. Galway is full of things to do for teens; shopping along Shop Street, live music in pubs and on the streets, vintage stores in the Westend, and easy access to outdoor adventures along the Wild Atlantic Way. Our central location means teenagers have plenty of independence to explore safely while you relax in the city centre.
Q: Is there parking at The House Hotel?
A: We’re a true city centre property, so we don’t have on-site parking. There are several public car parks within a short walk, discounted parking is available at Hynes Yard Multi-Story Car Park (€12 per 24 hours). Walking is by far the easiest way to get around Galway. We are also a 7 minute walk from the train station.
Q: When is the best time to book?
A: Midterm breaks, summer holidays, and major festival weeks; Baboró in October, the Galway International Arts Festival in July, and the Galway Races in late July/early August and the Christmas Markets in Nov and December are our busiest times. Rooms book up early during these periods, so we’d recommend booking well in advance.
