The House Hotel is on Spanish Parade in the Latin Quarter, right in Galway city centre. Approximate walking times from our door: Spanish Arch, 3 minutes. Quay Street and Shop Street, 3 minutes. Eyre Square, 5 minutes.

We do not have on-site parking. The nearest option is the Hynes Yard Multi-Storey car park. With everything within walking distance, most guests park up once and leave the car for the rest of their stay. The bus and train stations are both near Eyre Square, a short walk from the hotel.

What is Galway like on New Year’s Eve?

Lively. The Latin Quarter is the heart of the celebrations, with pubs, live music and crowds out on Quay Street and Shop Street from early evening. It’s a great night if you want atmosphere, so book dinner and accommodation early.

How far is The House Hotel from the pubs and restaurants?

We are in the Latin Quarter itself, on Spanish Parade. Quay Street and Shop Street are about a three-minute walk, so you can head out and walk back without needing a taxi.

Can I book two nights over New Year’s Eve?

Is breakfast included?

Our NYE B&B includes our grab-and-go breakfast on New Year’s Day, so you can take it back to your room or head straight out.

Is the Galway Christmas Market still on at New Year’s?

The market on Eyre Square is expected to run until 31 December 2026, so you can catch its final day before the countdown. Please check the official market website for confirmed dates and opening hours.

Is there parking at the hotel?

We don’t have on-site parking. The nearest option is the Hynes Yard Multi-Storey car park, around 12 euro per 24 hours. Everything you’ll want on New Year’s Eve is within walking distance of the hotel.
