GALWAY FOOD FESTIVAL
17th - 21st April 2014
The third Galway Food Festival will take place during the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend again this year - to much anticipation!
We are delighted here at The House to be hosting the Programme Launch on Monday, 31st March - All Welcome on the night.
The Festival celebrates Galway as a good food destination, with a strong emphasis on artisan, seasonal and local produce.
After last year's success, particularly with special guest (and also guest of The House Hotel) Neven Maguire, 2014 is shaping up to be a fantastic year.

The 2014 event will include an extended food village at Spanish Arch on the banks of the River Corrib; open-air markets at Galway Market, Woodquay Country Market and Moycullen Market; restaurant trails; food trails; cooking demonstrations and baking demonstrations; food tours to local artisan producers; foraging trips; food talks and debates; wine and beer tastings; food related crafts; lots of local produce; kids activities and family fun
Over 100 restaurants, food outlets and food producers are expected to participate and most events will be free admission. All Galway Food Festival events will be family-friendly and many will have a strong Galway and West coast flavour.
”Galway is renowned for both its excellent local produce and its high number and quality of restaurants. It was thus felt important that it should have its own food festival highlighting, promoting and celebrating all that is good about Galway food and dining,” said Festival Chairman JP Mc Mahon of Cava Restaurants.
Our own General Manager, Margaret Jenkins, is on the organising committee and we're all really looking forward to the event here at The House Hotel.

Thursday 17th April: Food Pairing with Cocktails
If there’s one thing The House know best it’s cocktails and The House Team are demonstrating how cocktails can be part of your dining experience and not just your Saturday night out!
Friday 18th April: Food Demonstration with Head Chef Leroy Marshall
The House Hotel’s Head Chef Leroy Marshall will be demonstrating some of the new and delicious tasting plates from The House Bistro’s exciting new menu. All you need to impress those guests calling over!
Sunday 20th April: Kiddies Kitchen at The House
Sunday afternoon’s in The House are full of activity, families, excitement and busy little chef’s up to their eyes in pizza dough! The House Hotel are taking their weekly Kiddies Kitchen GFF style and while Mum & Dad can relax and enjoy their delicious Sunday Lunch in peace – the kids will be rolling up their sleeves, putting on their chefs apron & hat and cooking with our Kiddies Kitchen chef making their own pizza from scratch and choosing all their own toppings.
